Multivaluo — Support

Multivaluo is a currency converter for iOS and Android. It works offline with the last rates it fetched, and it has no account to sign into.

Common questions

Why is a rate different from the one my bank gives me? Multivaluo shows rates published by central banks and market aggregators. A bank adds its own margin, so the rate you are offered for an actual transaction is normally worse than the mid-market rate. Professional mode lets you apply your own markup and spread to model that.

Why does a source show a "fallback" marker? The source you selected did not answer, so the app substituted an aggregator rather than showing you nothing. The marker exists so a substitution is never silent. Rates shown are then from the aggregator, not from the source you picked.

Why are some currencies missing? The app ships a curated set rather than every currency in the world. See docs/KNOWN_LIMITATIONS.md in the repository for what is deliberately not included in this version.

Can I get my data back after reinstalling? Conversion history and preferences are stored only on the device. They may be included in your own Android or iCloud backup, which is restored by the operating system — but there is no account and no server-side copy, so nothing can be recovered by us.

How do I delete my data? Delete the app, or clear its storage in the operating system's settings. That removes everything the app has stored. Nothing was ever sent to us.

Privacy

The privacy policy is readable inside the app under Settings → Privacy policy, and published alongside this page.

Reporting a wrong rate

Rates come from third-party providers listed in docs/sources_terms.md. If a number looks wrong, note the source selected, the currency pair, and the timestamp shown under the rate, and send those — it is usually possible to tell quickly whether the provider published that figure or the app displayed it incorrectly.
